Giant Tarpon Snags Bait Fish From Florida Woman’s Hand

A Florida woman dangling a fish over a pier last week got what she was looking for, according to a YouTube video posted online. A giant tarpon jumped out of the water and snagged it straight out of her hand.

The video posted by YouTube user Aysean Beauchamp was shot in the Florida Keys. In it, a woman raises and lowers a fish to entice a large number of fish into jumping for it.

Toward the end of the 18-second video, one big tarpon makes a move and snaps for the fish. The woman lets go of the bait fish in time to keep from getting scraped by the tarpon’s teeth.

Have you ever fed a fish like that? Do you think it’s a good idea to feed wild fish — why or why not? Please consider leaving a comment to share your thoughts!
